From Greece, with Love: Greek Costume Commemorative Stamp Series

Based on the detailed 1940s watercolor illustrations by Nicolas Sperling, this 1972 - 1974 stamp series celebrates the traditional fashion specific to various areas of Greece. With an eye for detail, Nicolas Sperling was the artist of choice for Benaki Museum Founder Antonis Benakis' published catalog of Hellenic attire, Hellenic National Costumes.
